OUR STORY

GQ Staging and Interiors officially started business in January 2023. Liz and Katharine had successfully staged investment properties for many years, and when a shift in the market occurred, our fellow investors and home sellers began having trouble selling their properties. We stepped in to help, and we were approached by a few investors and real estate agents who were not successful in selling their properties. These sellers were desperate to offer something different to the buyers, to make their listings more appealing and stand out from the crowd. This is where Liz and Katharine came into the picture.

We have a great eye for detail, functionality, and spatial relations. With our experience in renovations, design and Katharine’s taste for art and decor, it was a perfect fit for starting our own staging services. Since we had staging experience and had been successfully staging houses for many years, these sellers reached out to us and asked us to assist them with their listings and stage their properties. 

Liz and Katherine saw the need to assist the sellers with listing their properties. We knew how to showcase the areas and rooms within the home to let the buyer see how to best utilize the space. We bring the home to life and demonstrate how to make a space functional, appealing, and maybe even whimsical within the home. So just like that, GQ Staging and Interiors was officially born, now serving the Greater Phoenix Area and the surrounding suburbs.

Liz Quinn

Liz grew up in Columbus, Ohio and moved to Phoenix, Arizona to marry her husband Scott and raise her 3 beautiful children. They started in real estate in 1997 when they acquired their first long term rental property. In the early 2000’s they began acquiring properties through short sales and specialized in providing housing for Section 8 tenants. 

Because of their background in real estate and community development, they became leaders in Site Acquisitions and Land Development for Wireless Communication carriers. In 2016 they joined forces with a national network of real estate investors and began redeveloping homes. Liz now runs a successful residential renovation business. Her philosophy is to “bring back the beautiful” and enhance neighborhoods one home at a time.

Katharine Gray - Founder of GQ Staging And Interiors

Katharine Gray

Katharine was born and raised in Northern California. She graduated from San Jose State University with a Fine Arts degree and a minor in Business. Katharine is married to Glen Gray, has two grown daughters and six grandchildren. Katharine moved to Whidbey Island, in Washington State in 1999 and worked with Island County Housing Authority helping young low-income families find permanent affordable housing. 

She also volunteered as a CASA (court appointed special advocate) helping and working with children placed in foster care. Katharine has specialized in accounting for thirty years in commercial and residential real estate, furniture rental and the Housing Authority.

Katharine’s passion has been in completing multiple residential remodels, both in California, Washington and Arizona and working with designers and contractors. In 2016, Kat and her husband moved to Arizona and where she started working with Skyline Real Estate LLC providing accounting services, assisting with design, house layouts and finishes on residential rehab properties. 

This combined with her passion for remodeling, has led to staging and redesigning homes for residential re-sale. She loves going into a house, updating it and transforming it into a warm, inviting home. She is the best at adding the magic that makes the house become a home!
